The Data Center Technician position involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, and participation in an on‑call rotation.

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break‑fix on various components; troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents that affect service availability.
• Carry out routine network, server hardware, and operating system repairs to maintain overall service availability.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on‑call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on operational issue analysis.
• Help interview, train, and onboard new team members.

• Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds.
• Working in cramped and/or elevated locations.
• Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
• Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Potential travel to training locations before a designated site becomes operational.

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until the assigned facility becomes operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and facility status.

• 2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repair.
• 2+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience.
• Work flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field.
• Experience training and onboarding new team members.

The base salary range for this position is 30.91–54.18 USD hourly in the United States, North Carolina, Hamlet. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
