Sr. Data Center Technician
We are seeking a Sr. Data Center Technician to support our data center operations. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computing equipment, including servers, storage, and network devices. The technician will be responsible for a range of duties from receiving equipment to ensuring the operational integrity of the data center infrastructure.
Pay Rate: $40-45/hr.
10 mo. Contract position (potential to extend or convert)
2nd Shift – Monday thru Friday 5:00p – 2:00a
100% Onsite in Zebulon, NC
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and manage equipment deliveries.
- Configure server cabinets according to specifications.
- Perform racking and cabling of various devices.
- Conduct cable testing to ensure connectivity and performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and cabling issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate inventory and interface documentation.
- Assist with the shipping, receiving, and distribution of hardware.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a data center environment.
- Ability to operate and install computing equipment related to infrastructure and applications, including servers, storage, network, and telecommunications hardware.
- Familiarity with infrastructure cabling concepts.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills to resolve network and hardware issues.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
