POSITION SUMMARY

The C-UAS Technical Expert Position supports the planning, integration, execution, and evaluation of counter-unmanned aircraft system activities for customers throughout the United States and in overseas operating environments. Assignments may support U.S. and allied government organizations, military units, federal agencies, state and local law enforcement, critical-infrastructure operators, defense contractors, technology manufacturers, and other authorized private or commercial entities.

The position provides operational and technical expertise during C-UAS training, system integration, testing and evaluation, technology demonstrations, exercises, site assessments, capability development, and range operations. Candidates can be considered for C-UAS Trainer, C-UAS Integrator and Spectrum Manager roles if eligible based on prior experience.

Personnel may support customer requirements at the Constellis Training Center or deploy to other CONUS and OCONUS locations based on program and mission needs.

Individuals assigned to these positions must possess a strong working knowledge of C-UAS systems, layered-defense principles, tactical operations, threat capabilities, system employment, and the integration of multiple sensors and defeat mechanisms. This includes an understanding of radar, RF detection, electronic warfare, EO/IR, command-and-control, communications, UAS technologies, and authorized kinetic and non-kinetic defeat capabilities.

The C-UAS Technical Expert works directly with customers, operators, instructors, engineers, vendors, range personnel, and program leadership to translate operational requirements into effective training, integration, testing, and employment solutions. Responsibilities may include advising customers on system capabilities and limitations, evaluating system performance, supporting tactical scenario development, identifying integration or coverage deficiencies, and recommending improvements to layered-defense procedures.

Depending on qualifications and assignment requirements, employees may serve as C-UAS instructors, system integrators, spectrum managers, evaluators, technical advisors, or exercise-support personnel. All activities will be performed in accordance with applicable laws, authorities, customer requirements, safety standards, security procedures, range regulations, and company policies.

These are casual, part-time positions supporting intermittent customer and program requirements. Assignments are scheduled based on mission needs, employee availability, technical qualifications, and customer requirements. Work may involve irregular schedules, field conditions, domestic or international travel, and short-duration assignments. No minimum number of work hours is guaranteed.

  • Support the employment and integration of radar, passive RF, electronic warfare, EO/IR, acoustic, command-and-control, communications, kinetic defeat, and non-kinetic defeat capabilities.
  • Evaluate C-UAS system performance, operational suitability, capabilities, limitations, coverage, interoperability, and effectiveness against representative UAS threats.
  • Support layered-defense planning based on the threat, terrain, airspace, electromagnetic environment, mission requirements, protected assets, and available authorities.
  • Advise customers and operational personnel on C-UAS system employment, sensor placement, coverage considerations, engagement procedures, and tactical integration.
  • Operate, configure, inspect, test, and troubleshoot assigned C-UAS systems and associated equipment within individual qualifications and authorization.
