Simulator Technician

The Simulator Technician reports directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and is responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to F-35 Pilot Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices.
• Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications.
• Recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
• Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives.
• Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations.
• Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
• Maintains DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification.
• Documents all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying failure trends.
• Works with and communicates well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels.
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation.
• Manages and tracks multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

• Security Plus certificate will be REQUIRED.
• Technical report writing.
• Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation.
• Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level.
• Military fighter aircraft experience.
• Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).
• Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Security Clearance Requirements

This position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance.

• Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years.
• Must be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) access.
• Must be a US citizen.
