• Grade 6410I – Educational Interpreter I – Starting Salary: $19.06 per hour. Minimum EIPA score of 3.3 or TECUnit level 2 for cued language transl iterators. Must meet requirements for Educational Interpreter II within three years.
• Grade 6610I – Educational Interpreter II – Starting Salary: $20.51 per hour. Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or TECUnit level 3 for cued language transl iterators and at least three years experience.
• Grade 6810I – Educational Interpreter III – Starting Salary: $22.19 per hour. Required EIPA score of 4.0 or TECUnit level 3, or national certification, plus five years experience.

Educational interpreters must annually complete 20 hours of training approved by the local education agency.

Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the state of North Carolina and a safe driving record is required.
