Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit is headquartered in Wendell, NC,. The EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products, including, but not limited to, low-voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switch gear, MV circuit breakers, and metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.
** We are looking for a Shipping Supervisor. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.*
* Reporting to the Plant Logistics Manager, the Shipping Supervisor will lead the shipping activities at the new Siemens PACS plant in Wendell, NC.
** Roles & Responsibilities*
* + Ensure compliance with shipping processes for domestic and international shipment, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
+ Maintain shipping staff job results by training, measuring, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
+ Ensure good condition of facility/equipment through regular audit and implementation of preventative maintenance protocols
+ Respond timely and professionally to customer complaints and inquiries
+ Conduct short and mid-term capacity planning to ensure labor and equipment resources are balanced with demand
+ Ensure shipping staffing needs through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
+ Monitor shipping workflow indicators and respond to exceptions
+ Troubleshooting complex inventory and shipping errors. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
+ Guide and manage the process of packing and shipping product to customers
+ Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow and positive working relationships among teams
+ Conduct training for employees on all aspects of job performance including safety, quality, business processes, and HR policies

* Basic Qualifications:

* + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
+ 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high volume shipping operation
+ Experience in areas such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Distribution or other related manufacturing functions
+
Experience with warehouse management systems
+ Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
+
Experience with operating and maintaining a variety of warehouse material handling equipment

Experience with SAP WM module

Experience with warehouse scanning equipment and applications
