Director of Global Procurement & Supply Chain
I'm partnering with a growing manufacturer to identify a Director of Global Procurement & Supply Chain to lead sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and procurement operations during a critical period of business growth.
This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to build and strengthen supply chain processes, develop long-term sourcing strategies, and oversee a team responsible for managing domestic and international supplier relationships. The ideal candidate combines strong procurement leadership with the ability to drive cost savings, manage supply risk, and support business expansion initiatives.
Compensation
- $120,000–$130,000 base salary

What You'll Do
- Lead procurement strategy for raw materials, packaging, spare parts, equipment, and production-related supplies
- Manage and develop a team consisting of a Procurement Manager and Purchasing Specialists
- Drive supplier negotiations, RFQs, contract management, and cost-reduction initiatives
- Build global sourcing strategies while managing domestic and international vendor relationships
- Monitor market trends, tariffs, taxes, pricing forecasts, and supply chain risks
- Support business growth initiatives, new product launches, and expansion efforts from a supply chain perspective
- Improve procurement processes, systems, policies, and supplier performance metrics
- Partner with executive leadership to optimize inventory planning and supply continuity
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience in global procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain leadership
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations with direct material purchasing responsibilities
- Proven success managing supplier negotiations, cost savings initiatives, and procurement transformation projects
- Experience building or significantly improving supply chain processes and infrastructure
- Strong understanding of international sourcing, tariffs, taxes, and supply chain risk management
- Leadership experience managing purchasing and procurement teams
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Preferred Background
- Experience with engineered products, wood-based materials, building products, furniture, or related manufacturing industries
- Experience leading supply chain initiatives during periods of company growth or expansion
- Strategic thinker who can balance long-term planning with day-to-day execution
