Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking a Materials Supervisor for a full‑time, on‑site role at our Roxboro, NC manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available to US/PR residents.
The Materials Supervisor will supervise packaging, shipping, receiving, material handling and related transportation administrative activities for all assigned employees, ensuring plant goals are met and inventory data integrity is maintained.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 – $126,000 with eligibility for a variable incentive program.
Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision for distribution personnel, including hiring decisions, wage administration, performance evaluations, and other personnel activities.
- Coach, motivate, and counsel employees to encourage optimum performance and skill development; plan and manage people, technology, and materials for continuous improvement.
- Maintain relationships with common carriers and custom brokers to ensure the plant’s logistical needs are met cost‑effectively and promptly.
- Handle all shipping‑related customer disputes, including freight damage claims, RMAs, and compliance disputes.
- Plan and direct customer shipments, manage customer dunnage portals, packaging, and labeling requirements.
- Continuously monitor and improve the working environment to ensure a safe workplace.
- Maintain processes and controls for compliance with import and export classification laws across all countries of import/export.
- Direct shipment movement from shipping/receiving platform to storage and work spaces; enforce 5S standards for docks and warehouse locations.
- Apply continuous improvement frameworks to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce shipping errors.
- Organize and oversee annual plant physical inventory, including strategy development, training, and execution.
- Improve the plant cycle count process and drive inventory accuracy improvements through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure integrity of the system inventory and correct system transactions affecting plant inventory in a timely manner.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics for third‑party outside processing centers, communicating forecasted requirements and ensuring capabilities align with plant needs.
- Manage the internal dunnage wash process, including inbound logistics, wash scheduling, and escalation for wash‑related issues.
- Provide clear and timely verbal and written communication between management, supervisors, and departmental personnel.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in supply chain, operations, and/or manufacturing.

- Familiarity with material planning and customer systems (Oracle ERP, Ford DDL, FCA CSDS, and Covisint).
- Understanding of supply chain operational concepts including production planning and scheduling, inventory control logistics, stockroom management, and shipping/receiving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership, coaching, and influence management.
- Ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Experience in materials planning or customer scheduling in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience with customer relations.
