US Foods seeks a Senior Manager of Sourcing and Procurement to lead strategic sourcing for key product categories within our wholesale food service network. In this role, you will develop and execute category strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity, and ensure food safety and compliance. You will analyze market trends, manage vendor performance, collaborate with operations, sales, and finance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture supporting restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for key product lines
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to optimize cost and terms
- Manage supplier performance, quality, and on-time delivery
- Analyze market trends, costs, and risks to inform purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and finance to align sourcing with business needs
- Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and tools
- Lead and mentor a small sourcing/procurement team
