As an intern with the Electrification and Automation (EA) division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure , you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow – all within a collaborative, impact‑driven environment.
We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Material & Logistics Summer – Fall 2027 Co-op beginning in May 2027. This position will be based at our Wendell, North Carolina office location.You’ll make an impact by:
- Assisting with material requirement planning, demand forecasting, and material readiness activities.
- Supporting inbound and outbound logistics processes while identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
- Creating reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other business systems to support decision‑making.
- Monitoring operational KPIs and supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting carrier performance reviews, master data validation, and new product introduction activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Ability to work on‑site full‑time (40 hours per week) during the Summer and Fall 2027 semesters.
- Candidates must be enrolled with the North Carolina State University co‑op program and cannot graduate prior to the close of the co‑op.
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- This co‑op is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.
- Experience with 3D design, 3D printing, or automation technologies.
- Experience with programming tools such as LabVIEW.
- Basic electrical knowledge and experience handling tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Curiosity for technical problems, self‑sufficiency, and patience to investigate technical issues and identify solutions.
