** Position Summary
**** Responsibilities Include
*** Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, residence halls, lounges, and common areas
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, carpets, and surfaces
* Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
* Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
* Clean windows, mirrors, glass doors, and other surfaces
* Report maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing, lighting, or damage) to appropriate personnel
* Perform deep cleaning during academic breaks or as scheduled
* Maintain cleanliness in dining areas and event spaces before and after functions
* Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
* Secure buildings and rooms after cleaning, as necessary
* Assist with moving furniture or setting up spaces for events, meetings, or campus activities
* Support special projects such as summer turnover cleaning in residence halls
** Physical Requirements of the Position:
*** Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time
* Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 25–40 pounds
* Ability to step stools to reach high surfaces
* Repetitive motion tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping
* Use of hands and arms to operate cleaning equipment and tools
* Comfortable working in a variety of environments (e.g., dorms, offices, restrooms, outdoor walkways)
* Must be able to perform tasks in both hot and cold conditions, depending on building and weather
