As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing financial operations, mentoring teams, and partnering with leadership to drive sustainable growth. Responsibilities
  • Serve as a leadership mentor across the organization, building internal capacity and accountability
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Implement robust financial strategies aligned with current and future business goals
  • Manage the revenue cycle to maximize accuracy, timeliness, and cash flow
  • Lead enterprise risk analysis and mitigation planning
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and all regulatory and industry standards
  • Prepare and present clear, actionable financial reports to the CEO, board, and stakeholders
  • Supervise and coach finance department staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
  • Provide financial input on key contracts, operational decisions, and strategic initiatives
  • Identify and lead operational improvement initiatives in partnership with the executive team
  • Champion technology and systems improvements to enhance visibility and performance
  • Negotiate annual working capital and CAPEX lines of credit with banking partners
  • Review and approve annual renewal of commercial insurance packages
  • Supply CPA with year-end information for annual corporate tax returns
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and develop profit & loss projections
  • Supervise and advise the Corporate Controller on accounting matters and staffing
  • Interface with operations managers to integrate operational systems with accounting
  • Review and advise on subcontractor and customer agreements
  • Work with owners to project capital expenditure needs and evaluate financing options
  • Assess and manage company risks, including insurance and safety program compliance
  • Review and approve annual employee benefit packages and advise HR on employment matters
  • Assist with performance reviews and interviews for key managerial positions
  • Assist with account analysis, AIA billing, and escalation of collection efforts
  • Work with attorneys on customer, vendor, and corporate legal matters
  • Meet regularly with owners to discuss financial statements, operating results, and corporate matters
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive with operational leadership exposure
  • Deep expertise in revenue cycle management, financial controls, risk strategy, and forecasting
  • Demonstrated ability to modernize legacy systems and implement process discipline
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial information
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing finance team members
  • Solid proficiency in desktop Quick Books and comfort working in technology-forward environments
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax reporting, and compliance standards
  • Experience negotiating with banks, insurance brokers, and external partners
  • Ability to lead risk management, compliance, and safety program initiatives
  • Track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and executive leadership
