POSITION OVERVIEW
The District Manager will be focused on the development and profitability of assigned retail outlets including providing support and training to the store operations team of our Minuteman Food Marts, Minuteman Kitchens, and all branded and licensed food concepts. This position will have responsibility for planning, implementing, training, and supporting all retail operations related activities for their assigned Minuteman Food Mart locations.
This position will provide support of all Minuteman Food Mart programs to ensure guest experience, sales, and financial performance expectations are met. This position is not a 9 to 5 and will require open availability to support the business needs of the company. Scope will include P&L responsibility over all retail outlets assigned to drive top line sales growth and margin, while controlling expenses thru to the bottom line.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work to meet financial objectives based off annual budget forecasts; analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions; establishing and monitoring financial controls; developing and implementing strategies to increase profitability.
- Monitor and review month-to-month and year-to-year financial information on each location to make sure each site is hitting its financial targets set by management. Develop action plans for underperforming locations to improve profitability.
- Monitor and manage the company's KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) daily, weekly, and monthly and ensure these KPI's are being achieved at store level.
- Ensure proper staffing levels to ensure a quality guest experience.
- Respond to customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve any problems ensuring the customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions as well as enforcing policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships, as well as encourage and develop programs to provide learning and training opportunities for the store managers to ensure they are executing our plan as expected and continuing to develop their skills and knowledge on the job.
- Work with HR to conduct annual reviews on all direct reports and work with managers to schedule and possibly be a part of the evaluations of the store staff as well.
- Work with the Director, Merchandising & Customer Engagement to develop and implement marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands all of which help top line sales growth at each location.
- Work with the Food & Beverage team to maintain food service standards by evaluating and auditing prepared food and dispensed beverage offerings.
- Work with the Director of Safety to ensure that we are operating a safe environment for our customers and co-workers.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with all local, state, and Federal laws and rules. (i.e., Heath Departments)
- The position is required to attend and pass all training sessions as assigned.
- Responsible for inventory management process and procedures to ensure cost/margin targets are achieved. Control all purchases, review, and evaluate all usage/sales reports, analyze variances and put a plan of action in place when corrective action is needed.
Accountability:
Manage assigned Minuteman Food Marts through the development of staff, sales growth, and profitability to meet goals established by management. Ensure all assigned locations are in accordance with established Minuteman Food Mart brand standards, policies, and procedures. Assist in the success of the assigned locations by ensuring guest satisfaction through adhering to company standards for quality, value, service, and cleanliness. Maintain a positive working relationship with all employees to foster and promote a cooperative and pleasant working climate, which will be conductive to maximize employee morale, productivity, and efficiency.
