Min T/E Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in higher education, educational leadership, business administration, public administration, or a related field required; earned doctorate preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education administration, academic affairs, institutional operations, or related leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior academic leadership, strategic initiatives, institutional operations, or divisional administration within a complex higher education environment
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate discretion in decision making and management of sensitive institutional matters
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a complex organizational structure while managing multiple priorities, initiatives, and competing deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare executive reports, strategic analyses, institutional communications, presentations, and operational updates for senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while supporting implementation and operational execution of institutional priorities and divisional initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with university administrators, faculty, staff, governmental agencies, and external partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen to differing perspectives, facilitate collaboration, and develop effective solutions that support the long-term interests of the University
  • Demonstrated knowledge of university policies, procedures, organizational operations, and shared governance processes within higher education
  • Demonstrated experience supporting operational planning, policy implementation, strategic initiatives, institutional reporting, or administrative coordination within Academic Affairs or a comparable division
  • Demonstrated resilience, initiative, self-motivation, adaptability, and capacity to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic academic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain collegial, collaborative, and professional working relationships across the institution
  • Experience supporting institutional planning, compliance activities, accreditation efforts, or strategic reporting initiatives preferred
  • Experience working with state systems of higher education, governing boards, or system office reporting processes preferred
