This position is subject to the successful completion of an employment background check.   • Primary Purpose of Organization Unit:
    Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Facilities, Facilities Management comprises of two departments
    - Operations & Maintenance and Facilities Planning, Design & Construction. The primary mission is delivering required services, financial oversight and providing a liaison with appropriate Federal, State and local agencies on matters related to planning, constructing, operating and maintaining the physical campus environment. Facilities Management strives to provide a safe, clean, accessible and attractive environment which enhances the abilities of academic and administrative departments to provide a personalized education experience.
  • Primary Purpose of Position:
    This position is designated as Exempt from the Human Resources Act (EHRA). This position supports the Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance in administering the department's operational and fiscal activities. Represents the Facilities Management Department in respective areas for the University in these projects. This position is responsible for assisting in the managing of departmental budgets for the respective shops for campus-wide maintenance and repairs.

    This work is inclusive of all Academic Facilities, Student Housing Facilities as it relates to the health and sanitation of interior spaces within 55 facilities, 300 acres of campus grounds property and campus event setups. This position is generally responsible for hiring, training, disciplining, and conducting performance management and competency assessments for all direct reports. Work supervised includes custodial services, grounds landscaping and event venue setups, along with asset management.

    and assistance with design of facility components requiring the application and management of skills in planning, problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, communication and adherence to safety. Position may be required to possess and maintain certification, license, educational level, and/or experience criteria as applicable to the tasks being performed or supervised and follow applicable building codes.
