Oversees and is responsible for operations of an entire plant, prioritizing team safety, food safety, quality, and financial impact while advocating the organization priority to foster a culture of continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma principles. Provides strategic direction that aligns our operations strategy with company goals. Collaborates cross-functionally and is responsible for the performance of all functions. Responsible for meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and using data to maximize integrated profitability through participation in budget development and capital planning.

• Oversees a function typically through the oversight of managers. Provides strategic direction to the function. Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure department achieves business goals. Responsible for HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Oversees the development of systems, policies, and procedures. Contributes to or is accountable for budget management for the function.
• Guides the development and execution of operational strategies, long range plans, and annual plans, including developing scalable processes that deliver the financial, cost, quality, safety, staffing, and service levels required to meet business goals and customer expectations while ensuring financial strength and operating effectiveness. Utilizes a strong understanding of P&L, complex operational financial planning, and accounting principles.
• Reviews and approves plans for the control of products produced, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, customer service, safety, and quality standards.
• Monitors external market to identify opportunities, issues, and risks in support of developing relevant tactics and strategies that deliver measurable impacts.
• Guides the design and implementation of KPIs, metrics, goal setting, scorecards, and communication processes that effectively translate strategy into action and performance goals. Ensures all goals and outcomes at the local level align to company goals, including Annual Operating (AOP) and Long-Range Plans (LRP).
• Oversees, develops, and implements best practices, procedures, programs, and policies that support team member safety, food safety, operational efficiency, quality control, and continuous improvement. Guides key initiatives that ensure continuous improvement, as well as consistency and standardization throughout the facility.
