POSITION SUMMARY:

The Branch Executive Director for the Saleeby Family YMCA in Cameron, NC provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the YMCA branch and is responsible for ensuring that programs, membership, facilities, staff, and financial resources are effectively managed in support of the YMCA's mission. The position requires strong operational leadership, sound financial management, staff development, excellent customer service, and the ability to build relationships with members and the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategic & Operational Leadership Implement strategic plan priorities to drive membership and program growth

Foster a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs which support the Y mission, goals, and strategies

Manage and monitor branch operating budget and meet or exceed budget targets

Ensure the safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment

Develop and direct high-quality relationship-based member engagement strategies. Model relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.

Serve as a member of Y management and support the overall objectives of the YMCA Perform other duties as assigned

Staff & Member Engagement Oversee staff recruitment, training, supervision, meetings, and evaluations, while partnering with department leaders to coordinate programs, staffing, facility use, and member services

Foster a welcoming and mission-driven work culture aligned with YMCA values

Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants

Support membership growth through program innovation and engagement

Community Relations Actively representing the YMCA in the community, building relationships with local organizations, schools, and stakeholders
