MAU is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client in Rutherfordton, NC.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain mechanical, electrical, instrument, and control components across plant equipment and facility systems. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information
* 1st
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
* 2nd
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
* Weekend
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Saturday and Sunday)

* Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology or related field
* Minimum of two to three years in an Industrial Maintenance/Engineering environment
* Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and equipment requirements
* Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to use necessary test equipment
General Requirements

* Ability to work in a team-based environment
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently throughout an 8-12 hour shift
* Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and bend during manufacturing processes
* Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed
* Ability to work in awkward positions, including overhead and below-knee tasks
* Ability to push/pull toolboxes throughout the facility
Essential Functions
* Troubleshoot and maintain industrial plant utility systems, including steam and condensate, chilled water, cooling water, hot oil, HVAC, compressed air, power, and other systems.
* Perform roll replacement and set-up, PMs including lube oil and hydraulic fluid drain/refills, and 5S tasks; perform other mechanical-related work as assigned.
* Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment modifications and equipment failures.
* Assist with daily routine maintenance.
* Conduct visual system inspections and monitor system operations/processes to ensure proper operation and detect equipment failures, potential leaks, or problem situations; report maintenance needs and perform preventive maintenance checks/procedures on system equipment.
* Exchange information with staff of adjoining work shifts to stay updated on current operating conditions or problem situations.
* Maintain current knowledge and awareness of applicable laws/regulations; stay updated on new trends and advances; attend workshops and training sessions as appropriate.
* Work overtime as required to support planned roll replacement work.
