Overview
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Assembler I - 2nd Shift at our Youngsville, NC location. They engineer, manufacture, and ship products related to electrical power distribution to six different segments, including Utilities, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Assembler I - 2nd Shift role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

The core hours are 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Salary information is a general guideline and may vary based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS).
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
- Perform visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
- Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
- Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
- Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.
Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with standard operating procedures.
- Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair.
- Previous soldering experience.
Position Criteria:
- Basic working knowledge and experience with computers.
- Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime; willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colored wiring.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting.
