About the Role:
As an Automation Process Technician at POLYWOOD, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the production floor. Through equipment upgrades, process optimization, and data-driven problem solving, this position strengthens product quality, increases throughput, and helps POLYWOOD maintain high standards in sustainable manufacturing to produce our award-winning furniture.
What You’ll Do- Develop, implement, and maintain automation systems to enhance production efficiency and consistency
- Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize industrial machinery—including Fanuc robotics and control systems
- Improve production performance using statistical process control and lean practices
- Drive projects focused on equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Provide hands-on support during line startups, including debugging and training
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation for equipment, processes, and improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and elevate quality standards
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as an Automation or Process Technician in a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to troubleshoot control systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, robotic)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with technical documentation
- Vision systems (e.g., Fanuc iRVision, Cognex)
- PLC programming (Rockwell Automation, Fanuc)
- CAD/CAM software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Mastercam)
