We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our growing operations in Franklin, NC.
Responsibilities- Assemble electromechanical components, circuit boards, and sub-assemblies following detailed instructions, schematics, and work orders
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks with precision and consistency
- Conduct electrical and functional testing of assemblies using standard test equipment
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and collaborate with engineering and technical staff to resolve problems
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation, including build logs, inspection reports, and test results
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes and workflow efficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools (torque wrenches and other basic hand tools)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Experience working in defense, aerospace, or other regulated technical environments
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., J-STD-001, IPC-A-610)
- Hands-on experience with electronics or mechanical assembly, repair, or related technical work
