Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Maintenance Technician II is an Electro‑Mechanical position, and responsibilities will include but not be limited to supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex electro‑mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
- Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
- Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
- Perform simple to complex mechanical preventative maintenance tasks following instructions
- Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
- Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
- Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
- Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
- Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
- Enter all work completed in computer‑based maintenance program
- Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
- Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
- Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills
- Associate's degree in a related field is desired
- Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of and experience with Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out procedures
- Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality
- Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off‑hours and emergency overtime as required
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
- Ability to assist in training Level I technicians
- Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
- Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
- Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and within a team, including establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Attention to detail in a very fast‑paced environment
- Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
