Title:
Plant Manager
As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overall plant operations at the Faison, NC facility, a manufacturer of quality pickles.
Your role includes ownership and accountability for employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost and production objectives. You will make strategic recommendations to improve efficiency, safety, throughput, cost reduction, productivity, schedule compliance, and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing coaching and leadership in employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost and equipment reliability.
- Promoting a safety culture and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
- Leading the development, execution and monitoring of the operations strategy to achieve safety, quality and performance improvement.
- Leading the continuous improvement program to deliver opportunities in cost, quality, food safety and service.
- Using data (OEE, line speed target, efficiency and process data) to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliability.
- Coordinating manufacturing activities with other functions and suppliers to optimize production and resource utilization.
- Contributing to the development and execution of strategic plant-wide initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a production or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience leading in a union environment preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures and inventory management.
- Excellent problem‐solving, troubleshooting and decision‐making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
