Novelty TWIST Operator - Dayt Shift

Job Summary:

Operate Novelty machine to produce decorative yarn. Meet deadlines and production quotas.

Essential Functions:

Perform the following duties in accordance with ISO 9001 work instructions and standards.

Order yarn from other departments as needed.

Operate Novelty machine.

Change creels of yarn that the Novelty machine draws from.

Monitor Novelty machines to ensure good quality.

Work scheduled overtime.

Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.

Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Maintain attendance points balance of 5 or below.

Safety:

Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.

Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.

Hearing protection in high noise areas and other PPE as needed.

Maintain 5S standards.

Qualifications:

Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.

Ability to detect color changes.

Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
