Who we're looking for
Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina's (TBMNC) Production Control Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Central Control Room (CCR) Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor production operations, manage and analyze data through Microsoft applications, and ensure timely escalation and clear communication of plant status within the Central control room. Candidate will report to the CCR Manager within the Production Control department.
CCR provides accurate, timely, and consistent visibility of plant conditions to enable fact-based decision making. CCR analyst supports the operation by making gaps and risks/impacts visible, communication, and facilitate meetings.
What you'll be doing
- Monitor Production Operations: Continuously monitor plant production status through the Central Control Room systems to ensure stable operations and quick identification of abnormalities
- Issue Escalation & Communication: Proactively escalate production issues to the appropriate stakeholders and provide timely, clear communication on plant status, risks, and recovery actions
- Control Room Coordination: Act as a central point of contact to support cross-functional coordination between Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
- Production Status Reporting: Provide real-time updates and structured reporting on production performance, downtime events, and recovery progress to leadership and key stakeholders
- Data Management & Tracking (Microsoft Lists): Maintain and manage operational tracking tools using Microsoft Lists to capture issues, actions, and status updates in a standardized and transparent manner
- Data Analysis & Visualization (Power BI): Develop and utilize Power BI dashboards to analyze production data, improve visibility, and support data-driven decision-making within the Control Room
- Continuous Improvement (Kaizen): Identify opportunities for process improvement in CCR operations, including monitoring, communication, and reporting workflows aligned with Toyota Way principles
- Standardized Work Development: Support creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and escalation protocols for CCR activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify abnormal conditions, assess impact, and support timely decision-making
- Proven ability to analyze KPIs, trends, and operational data to drive visibility and proactive escalation
- Advanced experience with Power BI to develop dashboard and visualize data
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Lists (or similar tools) to manage workflows, track issues, and maintain structured data
- Strong data validation and accuracy mindset to ensure reliable information before escalation
- Experience in issue tracking, escalation management, and follow-up to closure to maintain operational stability
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with different groups
- Continuous improvement mindset (Kaizen / TBP thinking) to enhance reporting, process, and system capability
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, and automation) to analyze large datasets and support operational reporting
- Automotive, Battery manufacturing, or other Manufacturing experience
- Major Model Launch / Plant Start-up
- Technical problem-solving abilities & experience (PDCA, RC/CM, TBP)
