About the Role
Team Lead Level I – Production Team, 2nd Shift – Wendell, NC. Lead manufacturing activities at the Siemens plant, reporting to the Production Manager. Work on a 2nd shift schedule and coordinate production tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Shift & CompensationShift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.
Hourly Rate: $24.79 + $1.50 Shift Differential.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of all operations in the area, material flow, and SAP transactions
- Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Experience in training programs
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office
- Reach, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material with coordinated hand and arm movements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer‑sponsored work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with 5S/6S
- Problem‑solving skills (A3, 8D, etc.)
- Empower the team, coordinate employees to fulfill work schedules, and serve as backup for the Production Manager
- Oversee cross‑training per the Production Manager’s direction, maintain the training matrix, and ensure tool calibration is current
- Demonstrate excellent time management, prioritize tasks, and ensure team adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety policies
- Conduct SAP transactions throughout the production process, update reports and metrics, and use computer systems to access production‑related documentation
- Identify and report production issues, collaborate with other departments to resolve them, and support continuous improvement efforts
- Apply Lean principles such as 5S/6S, 8 Wastes, VSM, Kaizens, and Standard Work, and actively participate in maintaining clean, safe work areas
