Mechanical Assembler Level 2 – Retrofit Team, based in Wendell, NC.

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

$20.36 per hour

• Assemble sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
• Record job transactions, read BOMs, and follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
• Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
• Build and assemble Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as Switchgears, Switchboards, and Breakers.

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
• 1+ year of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
• Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values.
• Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Ability to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
• Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub‑assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• SAP experience.
