PositionMechanical Assembler Level 2 – Retrofit Team, based in Wendell, NC.
Shift Hours6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Hourly Rate$20.36 per hour
Responsibilities- Assemble sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
- Record job transactions, read BOMs, and follow layouts and assembly drawings.
- Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
- Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
- Build and assemble Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as Switchgears, Switchboards, and Breakers.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
- 1+ year of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
- Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values.
- Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Ability to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
- Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub‑assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- SAP experience.
