General Description / Primary
Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring that all food quality processes align with the company’s compliance with food safety standards.
- Provide production support in all aspects of the Dole quality process.
- Perform quality checks, including:
Bag seal, Oxygen level, Proportions, Bag weight, Raw materials check, Masterpack check, Finished goods check. - Check equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain reports and log entries in the system.
- Complete food safety checks to meet all critical control points.
- Place and remove “Hold” statuses as required for raw, in-process, and finished goods.
- Receive and inspect raw materials (such as vegetables) to ensure they comply with company policies and procedures.
- Support Masterpack rework as needed.
- Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisors.
- Experience: Previous experience in a food processing facility is required. Completion of the FSQA Technician competency exam or demonstrated external FSQA experience is required.
- Skills: Good oral communication skills are required.
- Additional: Hands‑on ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented food processing environment is essential. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. Must also maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with coworkers, and understand and follow posted work rules and procedures. Flexibility is necessary to work any shift based on workload demands.
Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia are present.
Work surfaces and floors may be wet.
Employees are required to wear approved footwear and protective equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. unassisted for up to one-third of the workday and 6 lbs. overhead as job demands dictate.
Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required.
Moving machinery, including conveyors and forklifts, will be in operation in the immediate area.

Work Hour & Travel RequirementsMust be prepared to work a variety of shifts and fulfill overtime requirements as necessary, including some weekends.
Experience and EducationHigh Educational Development (GED School Diploma or General) certificate.
