About the Role

Production Associate 2 at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring we safely produce a high‑quality product and minimize waste/cost, enabling timely delivery to customers. The role requires working with a sense of urgency while maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant.

What You'll Do
  • Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick, and pack products
  • Support and participate in employee engagement activities
  • Follow defined clean‑up times
  • Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
  • Follow established rates as defined by customer demand and standardized operations
  • Participate in defining and improving standard work to enhance quality windows for customers
  • Identify problems and communicate issues
  • Assist with training co‑workers
  • Support a respectful workplace
  • Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management
What You'll Need
  • Read a tape measure and interpret fractions and decimals
  • Read at least a minimum word and number recognition/visual cues
  • Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and know when to change PPE
  • Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE
  • Know measurement standards and tolerances
  • Follow instruction and standard work while frequently referencing standard work instructions
  • Recognize product defects specific to the workstation
  • Identify quality requirements/CTQ at the station
  • Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly & accurately, asking questions, sharing important information
  • Manage time and be aware of cycle times
  • Perform math by adding, subtracting, including fractions and decimals
  • Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying, downloading
  • Stand 8 to 10 hours using good posture and repetitive motion
  • Problem solve using root‑cause analysis
  • Be dependable, consistently on time
  • Recognize shapes and compare to sample drawings
  • Monitor inventory by adhering to min‑max levels (WIP) and utilization of scrap
  • Keep accurate, timely, legible records / scrap
  • Wear required PPE (metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, safety glasses)
  • Be dependable/punctual and detail‑oriented
  • High school diploma is preferred
  • Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand is required
  • Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds for 8 to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to work in hot & cold environments
  • Be able to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs
  • Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross‑trained)
  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations
  • Follow supervisors’ instructions/directions as given
  • Possess problem‑solving, teamwork, communication, and initiative skills
  • Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality
