We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging product design and production by reviewing designs for manufacturability, developing production documentation, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, high-quality production processes.
Responsibilities- Review product designs and identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Create and maintain production drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Generate laser cutting nests to optimize material utilization and production efficiency.
- Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing process improvements.
- Assist with new product introductions and transition designs into production.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings and designs for manufacturability (DFM).
- Proficiency with CAD software and technical drawings.
- Experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, or metal manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of nesting software and material optimization techniques.
- Experience supporting production environments and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
