Equipment Maintenance Technician - PM Tech Shift

Job Description

Jabil is looking to hire a Maintenance Tech to work in its Asheville, NC. The schedule for this opening is 12 Hour Shifts 8am-8pm (work Monday & Tuesday; off Wednesday & Thursday; work Friday-Sunday; off Monday & Tuesday; work Wednesday & Thursday; and off Friday-Sunday).

As a Maintenance Technician with Jabil, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs on equipment, fixtures, and systems, and duties include troubleshooting, conducting inspections, and keeping maintenance records.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Performs feeder maintenance, repair and data tracking.
• May provide assistance in the following areas:
  • Troubleshoot to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manual, rough sketches or drawings.
  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• May be required to work overtime.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• High School or GED Required. Associates degree in electronics preferred.
• At least 1 year of work-related experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment OR an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

• Use of basic hand tools and equipment.
• Understanding of safety practices and requirements.
• Experience utilizing Windows Products (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Ability to climb to heights measuring about 8-9 ft.
• Strong Communication skills both verbal and written.
