Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Location: Warsaw

Villari Foods is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Villari Foods location with a minimum of one year’s experience. The right candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting our industrial equipment and systems.

- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance on equipment, motors, pneumatic tools, converter systems, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed items, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
- Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one-year experience as a technician.
- Licensed mechanic (preferred but not required).
- Experience in the Food Industry (preferred but not required).

- Cold temperatures between 50°F to 10°F (non-weather related); cold‑weather gear provided.
- Work near moving mechanical parts; exposure to fumes or airborne particles and chemicals.
- Noise level usually moderate but can be loud.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Able to drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Able to speak and hear for safety and productivity.
- Use scanners, tablets, radios, phones, and other warehouse machinery.
- Frequently required to stand, use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle, feel, reach and pull.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
