Job Impulse, Inc. has immediate openings for Production Line Operators in Grover, NC. Our client is a fabric manufacturer.
The position starts at $15/hr.

Job Purpose
  • Achieve production goals utilizing the most efficient use of equipment
Job Description
  • Operate Production line
  • Record process parameters and defects.
  • Track defects.
  • Follow up order type and quantity and produce products sufficient for order fulfillment
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for filling in raw material consumption and production logs
  • Responsible for leading the production line startup and shutdown
  • Monitor the online inspection system for any abnormal situation and report it to the team leader and supervisors
  • Place papers in the master-roll to inform the slitting operators about the order changing, weight changing and defects
  • Responsible for reporting any damage to the winder shafts (team lead and supervisor)
  • Responsible for changing the extruder filter and filling out the record for the change
  • Responsible for winder operation, adjusting the parameters and ensuring the master-roll is started properly
  • Responsible for adjusting the parameters according to the SOC
  • Assist process engineering and R&D team for sample trial running
  • Responsible for the proper cleaning precautions and setup requirements for the quenching chamber, diffuser, and compaction rollers to ensure that they are ready for production
  • Assist team leaders for fabric quality in 5S
  • Responsible for starter roll stock
  • Monitor the machines performance during production times, ensure that everything is working properly
  • Responsible for shift turn-over
  • Assist team lead with training operations of the machine, do not step on their toes but do assist them in subjects they may forget to go over
  • Assign a worker to check the wastewater in the morning and end of the day to reduce the risk of overflow
  • Make sure that people who are assisting you with operations on the machine wear their proper PPE, this ensures that you are doing your part in assisting the supervisor while also minimizing employee risk
  • Check the monomer oil relief chamber to clear out any excess oil that is released from the quenching chamber during the monomer exhaust adjustments. (Once per month)
  • Check cooling chamber filters for debris, you can assign a helper to expedite this process
  • Responsible for leading the die and belt exchange/changing
  • Ensure that the cooling water is turned on and operating in the morning then refer to
  • Ensures quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely
  • Follows company procedures based on safety and uses material and equipment per manufacturers directions
  • Working Conditions
    • Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
    • Must be able to work in heat/cold conditions
    • Must be able to work in a team environment
    • Hearing levels are high; therefore, you Must adhere to wearing appropriate PPE always.
    Qualifications
    • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, preferably extrusion experience or textile experience.
    • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
    • Must possess good problem-solving skills
    • Basic math skills
    • Must work harmoniously with co-workers
    • Must have a “can-do” attitude
    • Must be self-motivated
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Steel toes required
