Assembly Operator - 3rd Shift
Assembly Operator I
Location:
Fairview, NC
Schedule:
3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am
Pay Rate: $19.37/hour
Position Summary:
The Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling components and ensuring the consistent production of high-quality products. The role requires keen attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow structured work instructions and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical/mechanical components using microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures.
- Inspect work-in-progress using established quality standards and detailed work instructions.
- Utilize calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices for component verification.
- Perform pull tests and troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as necessary.
- Complete operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.
- Support housekeeping and maintain an organized work area.
- Adhere to all company and departmental policies, safety guidelines, and EH&S procedures.
- Read and follow detailed drawings and written instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience required, with understanding of core manufacturing principles:
Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. - Basic computer proficiency preferred.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to interpret product blueprints (preferred).
- Experience using measuring devices such as gauges and calipers (preferred).
- Able to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
- Physically able to move materials up to 50 pounds, remain in a stationary position 75% of shift, operate machinery, and navigate between work zones.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding written instructions in English.
