Assembly Operator - 3rd Shift

Fairview, NC

Schedule:

3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am

Pay Rate: $19.37/hour

Position Summary:

The Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling components and ensuring the consistent production of high-quality products. The role requires keen attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow structured work instructions and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electrical/mechanical components using microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures.
  • Inspect work-in-progress using established quality standards and detailed work instructions.
  • Utilize calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices for component verification.
  • Perform pull tests and troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as necessary.
  • Complete operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.
  • Support housekeeping and maintain an organized work area.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental policies, safety guidelines, and EH&S procedures.
  • Read and follow detailed drawings and written instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience required, with understanding of core manufacturing principles:
    Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
  • Basic computer proficiency preferred.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to interpret product blueprints (preferred).
  • Experience using measuring devices such as gauges and calipers (preferred).
  • Able to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
  • Physically able to move materials up to 50 pounds, remain in a stationary position 75% of shift, operate machinery, and navigate between work zones.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding written instructions in English.

This position is subject to U.S. Government contract requirements (ITAR/EAR). Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
