Work will be performed in the metal shop, onboard dry-docked vessels, dockside vessels in service, and occasionally on facility projects. This role requires proficiency in TIG, MIG, and MMA welding across multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) and the ability to fabricate with precision, style, and in compliance with classification standards.

- Operate welding and metalworking equipment: grinders, drills, sanders, TIG/MIG machines, electrode welders, torches, saws, and presses.
- Work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to meet specifications and tolerances.
- Construct jigs, templates, and tooling for projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and safety/maintenance manuals.
- Perform quality checks and ensure work meets schedule, budget, and classification standards.
