The expectation of this position is to lead and direct hourly team members to produce quality products that meet company standards while achieving financial and business objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Provide quality products to customers globally.
- Achieve production objectives.
- Meet daily hatch objectives.
- Achieve safety objectives.
- Develop and retain qualified team members.
- Ensure TSA and NPIP compliance regulating Cobb business activities.
Requirements:
Education:
Requires broad knowledge in a general professional field, typically acquired through four (4) years of college, resulting in a bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Two (2) or more years of poultry management-related experience.
Computer
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.
Travel:
Four (4) or more domestic trips per year.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises a team of approximately 20 or more hourly team members.
Biosecurity:
The job site is a biosecure environment, which requires showering before entering the facility and may require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on-site, except for medical . Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (e.g., chickens, ducks, birds). The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
Must adhere to Biosecurity Standards and guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; and talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
The team member is expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment.
