Rehires are subject to a 91 day wait period, determined from their last date of employment, to apply for fresh plant. Candidates that have worked for Tyson Foods or Tyson affiliates 3 or more times will not be eligible for rehire. Must perform other duties as tasked by administration. Must be safe and observe all of Tyson’s policies and procedures.
The Trimmer inspects each bird frame as it passes on the line, trimming to remove any defects. Places salvageable parts into tubs and puts ice into the tubs. Perform assigned production tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling operations. Assist with product handling, sorting, stacking, and staging as required. Maintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or congestion. Monitor product for quality defects and report concerns promptly.
Assist line operators with setup, changeovers, and general line support. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment. Remove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions. Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control requirements. Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies. Use required PPE and follow safe work practices.
Perform other duties as assigned. Fresh plant environment expectations include working directly with raw, in-process, or packaged fresh product, adhering to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standards, wearing required PPE, including gloves, aprons, hairnets, and protective footwear, and working in temperature-controlled environments, including cold, wet, or humid conditions.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Prior manufacturing, production, or general labor experience preferred. Experience in food manufacturing or fresh plant operations a plus.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety, food safety, and quality.
Physical Demands and Work RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment.
Work ScheduleMust be available to work assigned shifts. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs.
