- Convert waste product into raw material of good quality
- Check waste for defects and throw defective material away
- Perform preventive maintenance on machine as needed – housekeeping is a major portion of preventive maintenance
- Maintain constant temperature of machine
- Assure proper loading of material
- Constantly monitor for pellet defects
- Drive forklift as needed
- Ensure quality – continually watching for and reporting abnormality, moisture checks on the bottom, middle and top of every bag from silo
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma (or a GED)
- Basic math skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a “can-do” attitude is critical to success
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a somewhat frequent basis
- Note:
Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate controlled year round, with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.
