Position SummaryWork with sanitation team to sanitize all plant processing equipment prior to start of production.
Position Duties- Disassemble and assemble equipment as necessary for sanitizing process.
- Clean equipment and overhead areas using a variety of tools and equipment, including high-pressure hoses, chemicals, scrubbers, etc.
- Collaborate with other sanitation employees to learn other departments and fill in as needed.
- Follow all pre-operation startup guidelines and work closely with leads, supervisors, and quality assurance team to release plant on time.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Exposure to variable temperatures, wet conditions, slippery floors, high noise levels, fog, corrosive chemicals, and heavy equipment, pushing, pulling and lifting hazards are present. Sanitation team members are required to wear appropriate PPE for all assigned tasks and chemical handling.
QualificationsMust complete and maintain required safety training, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Powered Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, and Chemical Safety Training. Must meet Sanitation Back & Task requirements. Frequently bend, lift, climb, twist, kneel, push and pull for up to 8 hours a day. Food manufacturing sanitation experience a plus. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
