Insight Global has a client in the Laurel Hill, NC area searching for a Production Planner that will support production planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The immediate focus of this role will be machine planning and production scheduling based on customer orders, ensuring efficient use of capacity, labor, and materials to meet delivery commitments.
Working closely with the Production Manager, this individual will coordinate production schedules, monitor material flow, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency across operations. Over time, the role will expand into broader Industrial Engineering responsibilities, including process improvement, labor optimization, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
This is a newly created position designed to support the company's growing S&OP planning function and offers strong long-term growth opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 2-5 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, or machine planning
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with production data
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
