Overview
Watts, a global leader in water solutions, is seeking a CI Kaizen Specialist I to support lean transformation at its manufacturing facility in St. Pauls, NC.
Role OverviewThis position reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager and requires on‑site presence in St. Pauls, NC.
Primary Responsibilities- Gather data and prepare Kaizen activities.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and collaborate with CI Technicians to develop tools and equipment.
- Apply the 3P "try‑storming" simulation to validate concepts and assemble solutions.
- Train employees on Kaizen preparation and execution.
- Support the New Product Development process and maintain 5S standards.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Standard Work, Flow, Visual Management, TPM, and Error Proofing.
- Prioritize projects using the Kaizen roadmap and manage customer expectations.
- Prepare report‑outs for Kaizen and other activities for senior leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
- Current Yellow Belt in Lean or ability to earn within 3 months of hire.
- Self‑management on small tasks and teamwork on large projects.
- Professional communication with internal customers.
- Associate degree or certification in engineering technology, operations, or related field.
- Experience supporting Kaizen events or Lean improvement projects.
- Familiarity with KPI reporting or visual management systems.

Physical Requirements
On‑site manufacturing facility; must follow manager‑communicated work hours.
- Must stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 25 lbs, push and pull up to 25 lbs.
- Must navigate the manufacturing floor, read documents, and wear required PPE (safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses).
