Pay rate: $16 per hour with a $1 shift differential.

The Production Associate I at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows and doors assembly operations while ensuring we safely produce a quality product, minimize waste and cost, and deliver on time to customers. The Associate works with a sense of urgency while maintaining material flow throughout the plant.

• Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick, and pack products.
• Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
• Follow defined clean‑up times.
• Work safely and adhere to workplace safety practices and policies.
• Adhere to established rates based on customer demand and standardized operations.
• Participate in defining and improving standard work to enhance quality for customers.
• Identify problems and communicate issues.
• Assist with training co‑workers.
• Support a respectful workplace.
• Perform other duties across the plant as needed and directed by supervision or management.

• Ability to read tape measures and interpret fractions and decimals.
• Basic literacy with minimum word and number recognition and visual cues.
• Operate power tools with dexterity and recognize when to change PPE.
• Identify hazards and understand safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances.
• Follow instructions and Standard Work, frequently referring to Standard Work instructions.
• Knowledge of product defects specific to the workstation.
• Quality recognition at the station based on quality requirements/CTQ.
• Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly, asking questions, and sharing important information.
• Time management and awareness of cycle times.
• Wear required PPE—metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses.
• Depndability/punctuality & detail oriented.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and stand as required.
• Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds for 8 to 12 hours a day.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to work various positions in multiple departments (cross‑trained).
• Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and standing for long periods.
• Compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Follow supervisors’ instructions and directions.
• Problem solving, teamwork, communication, and initiative.
• Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality.
