Electrical Assembler – Retrofit Production (Wendell, NC)

An Electrical Assembler is responsible for performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on products for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, including switchgears, switchboards, and breakers.

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

$20.36 per hour

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
• 1+ year of experience with commercial or industry wiring.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to read and work with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
• Experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and reading a tape measure.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical clearances.
• Associate’s Degree or technical training relevant to the area of responsibility.
• Proven track record in quality and productivity.

• Perform sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship, including proper stripping and crimping techniques.
• Work with large power cables, ensure correct crimping methods, and assemble components on panels per layouts or drawings.
• Record job transactions, read BOMs, and follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking continuous improvement.
• Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies and be a strong team player.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
