Embrex Operator

At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first—always.

• Responsible for performing various tasks in the hatchery while following all Company Safety and Animal Welfare Policies. Primary responsibility is overseeing the Embrex transfer process of the hatchery.
• Oversee the egg transfer process.
• Ability to mix vaccine by following the SOP.
• Start up and Shut Down of transfer equipment.
• Ability to keep up with vaccine and supplies inventory and let management know when vaccine or supplies need to be ordered.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, Embrex equipment, and work area.
• Document machine status and perform light maintenance as required.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
• Ability to lift 30lbs – 50lbs.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma/GED;
  College Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience:
  
  1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Skills:
  
  Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.
