Position:
Production Coordinator in the Stamping Department on 1st shift (Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm). The role supports professional service delivery, communicates effectively internally and externally, and participates in growing the team’s capability to meet JIC’s objectives.

- Plan and direct all activities related to hot stamping and laser cutting production.
- Model professional behavior and support management through teamwork, job performance, and positive motivation of associates.
- Perform duties personally or through assigned team leaders; focus on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Lead safety initiatives: promote safety, provide training opportunities, enforce safety policies, monitor associate safety, and apply three reality principles to injuries and property damage.
- Quality leadership: integrate TQM fundamentals, guide hot stamping teams, identify root causes and counter-measures (SNAP), and conduct regular reviews (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Manage operations budgeting and costs; review production and operating reports; resolve manufacturing and maintenance issues to minimize costs and delays.
- Maintain production control standards; ensure associates are trained and following operating standards; assist in developing manufacturing plans (manpower, materials, sub-contracts, facility, tooling, equipment).
- Coordinate activities with other functions and suppliers to optimize resource utilization and production efficiency.
- Supervise assigned Team Leaders and Associates in Stamping and Laser Cutting operations; provide mentorship and ensure high job satisfaction and technical development.
- Audit process flow and training compliance; ensure clarity of company initiatives, mission, goals, and values; implement best practices for a high-performance team.
- Assist in developing and maintaining operation business plans to meet safety, morale, quality, cost, and delivery goals; ensure costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
- Ensure effective internal and external communications; address associate concerns; train new associates as required.
- Work independently with minimal supervision; embrace new assignments and methods; seek improvements to processes. Other duties as assigned.
- Apply PDCA fundamentals in daily management within the Hot Stamping Department to achieve corporate goals.
- Interpersonal: ability to communicate with associates, management, other departments, and senior management.
- Leadership: strong communication and motivational skills; ability to keep processes and equipment in good condition for smooth operations.
- Problem-Solving: decisiveness in identifying defects and solving equipment and process issues to prevent quality, delivery, or safety problems.
- Time Management: ability to develop task lists and ensure on-time task implementation.
- Computer
Skills:
basic computer skills for memos and email communication.
- High school diploma or GED; related production experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to interpret mathematical data and graphs.
