Wieland is hiring a Plug & Die Tech. The Plug & Die Tech will be responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC and manual grinding equipment used to manufacture precision plugs, dies, and related tooling required for copper tube drawing operations. This role is located in Pine Hall and will be fully on-site.

The P&D Tooling Technician is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC and manual grinding equipment used to manufacture precision plugs, dies, and related tooling required for copper tube drawing operations.

This role supports the production process by ensuring tooling is manufactured, maintained, and repaired to precise dimensional and surface specifications. The technician works from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to produce high‑precision tooling used in drawing operations.

The position requires strong machining skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform precision grinding operations while maintaining strict tolerances and quality standards.

Works under the supervision of the P&D Tooling Supervisor and supports the overall toolroom operations through precision machining, tooling maintenance, and collaboration with engineering and production teams.
