Location: Weaverville

CMG is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and dependable Swiss CNC machinist to join our growing precision manufacturing team.

Position Highlights:

Experience:
  • Previous Swiss CNC machining experience is strongly preferred. However, we are willing to provide on-the-job Swiss training for an experienced CNC machinist who demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, technical ability, motivation, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Select, install, and adjust cutting tools
  • Perform tool offsets and minor program edits
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment
  • Maintain tight tolerances and established quality standards
  • Monitor unattended production and maximize machine uptime
  • Complete required production and inspection documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Work independently while contributing to the success of the overall team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Swiss-style CNC setup and operating experience
  • Strong CNC turning or mill-turn background
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerancing
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, comparators, and other inspection equipment
  • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve problems without constant supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
  • Commitment to quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
