Production Work Schedules:
- A-Shift: Sunday–Tuesday (6am–6pm) & Wednesday (6am–12pm)
- B-Shift: Saturday (12am–6am) & Sunday–Tuesday (6pm–6am)
- C-Shift: Wednesday (12pm–6pm) & Thursday–Saturday (6am–6pm)
- D-Shift: Wednesday–Friday (6pm–6am) & Saturday (6pm–12am)
This position is responsible for operating processing, grinding, and loadout equipment to support the safe and efficient production and shipment of finished products. Responsibilities include monitoring automated systems, ensuring product quality, maintaining equipment performance, and adhering to Tyson safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Tasks- Operate processing and grinding equipment (cookers, dryers, mills) according to production schedules
- Monitor and adjust process controls (temperature, flow, speed) for optimal performance
- Set up and operate grinding systems used in production
- Coordinate with receiving, production, and loadout teams to maintain workflow
- Load and ship finished products; verify quantities, specifications, and shipping documentation
- Perform quality checks (visual, moisture, odor) and support QA/HACCP programs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance and system resets (breakers, drives, controls)
- Operate forklifts, loaders, conveyors, and/or loadout equipment safely
- Record production, quality, and shipping data accurately
- Maintain clean work areas and follow all sanitation and safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members and report safety or operational concerns
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 months continuous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or landscaping environment
- Minimum of 6 months continuous work history within the past 2 years
- Experience in manufacturing, rendering, or food processing preferred
- Mechanical and technical aptitude required
- Ability to operate machinery and computerized control systems
- Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Rehire eligibility:
Minimum waiting period of 90 days; no more than 3 total periods of employment with Tyson Foods
Industrial rendering facility with exposure to heat, noise, odors, and moving equipment. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Requires flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Biosecurity / Safety RequirementsMust follow all Tyson safety policies and procedures. Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must adhere to plant biosecurity and food safety requirements.
