Responsibilities- Daily management and leadership of all assigned resources.
- Schedule adherence, productivity, personnel development, time and attendance, training, and establishing/monitoring departmental goals.
- Creation of a departmental cross‑training matrix and mentoring of assigned personnel.
- Deployment of team members to engage in cross‑functional problem‑solving to improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Ensuring the organization accomplishes Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost performance objectives.
- Development of credible recovery plans when performance misses occur.
- Review of daily demand, production capacity, and constraints; optimization of production schedules and management of shop workflow.
- Management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other reporting on a daily basis to drive performance.
- Directing and coordinating manufacturing activities based on policies, company objectives, and programs across multiple manufacturing functions.
- Coordinating with Supply Chain for procurement of tools and MRO, and planning delivery schedules to meet quality standards while reducing lead time and cost.
- Coordinating with Engineering and Quality Control to determine causes of rejected products and resolve discrepancies in the manufacturing process.
- Ensuring safe and healthy working conditions, instituting measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards, and compliance with company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
- Maintaining departmental safety consistent with site goals and objectives, and emphasizing good housekeeping.
- Organizing and proactively managing the team to ensure meeting production and delivery expectations while maximizing available labor, skills, knowledge, experience, and capabilities.
- Continuing focus on team cross‑training and skill diversity.
- Developing and driving cost savings utilizing continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
- Ensuring team member compliance with all operations procedures and documented processes, and addressing non‑conformities.
- B.S. degree in Engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field (required).
- 5+ years direct experience in operations manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years leadership and management experience.
- Financial acumen, including managing budgets, overtime, incentives, and benefits.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and oversee multiple processes.
- Experience with vendor management, compliance, and audit processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities across multiple departments and organizational levels.
- Proficient computer knowledge and abilities (JDE, SAP, Microsoft Office).
Salary range: $70,900.00 – $.
