Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead high-volume manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for overall production performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, staffing, and employee development.
The Manufacturing Manager will oversee Production Supervisors, Line Leads, and manufacturing teams while working closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, NPI, and HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines and departments.
- Manage and develop Production Supervisors, Line Leads, and large manufacturing teams.
- Ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and throughput.
- Develop staffing and workforce plans based on production and capacity needs.
- Coach and mentor supervisors and frontline leaders.
- Drive employee accountability, engagement, and performance.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase throughput and efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for operational issues.
- Drive cost-reduction and productivity improvement projects.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve manufacturing and product issues.
- Support ISO, customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure material availability.
- Support capacity planning and manufacturing readiness for new product introductions (NPI).
- Monitor labor utilization, equipment readiness, and production capacity.
- Support departmental budgeting and cost management.
- Present production performance, staffing forecasts, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing , Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors and large production teams.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Manufacturing operations
- Production planning
- Workforce management
- Quality systems
- KPI/performance management
- Continuous improvement
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Server, PC, electronics, or technology manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
- SAP, ERP, MES, or WMS systems.
- Large manufacturing ramp-ups or rapid production growth.
- NPI/manufacturing launch support.
- Cross-functional leadership involving Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
